Our Specially Formulated UV Treatment

Our nets are dipped in a special UV treatment for exceptional durability and protection from the sun and weather. We have perfected this trademark dipping process through years of use on shrimp nets and now on sport nets as well. This treatment can only be found on Burbank nets and is ideal for protecting our products.

Dyneema-rope and webbing

Dyneema rope is made from one of the strongest fibres in the world. The rope has excellent properties with regard to strength, weight, UV-stability (daylight), safety, abrasion, tension fatigue, bending fatigue. Dyneema rope is coated with a unique coating that ensures shape stability and increased abrasion resistance for longer working-life. The rope is also heat-set under tension to ensure maximum strength, durability and uniformity.

Dyneema Webbing:
We offer two twine sizes:
UDR2 and UDRT01.

UDR2--.0625 inch diameter (#18) with 352 lb.(160 kg.)+ breaking strength
(superior to #18 Spectra)

UDRT01--.0664 inch diameter (#19/20) with 528 lb.(240 kg.)+ breaking strength
Our in house testing process revealed this material to be far superior to any backstop material we have ever encountered. This double -knot braided webbing combines low visibility with superior strength and durability making it the ultimate backstop material. Five year limited warranty.

Dyneema Rope
(New to Market offered exclusively by Burbank Sport Nets):
This unique light-weight, high-strength UDR2 rope (with a breaking strength of up to 41,800 lbs.) can replace (20,000ksi) steel cables that are used in most professional stadiums today. Engineer certified breaking strength.

Strength
Dyneema rope is more than ten times stronger than steel per unit of weight. This means that a Dyneema rope has a slightly higher strength than a steel wire of the same dimension-but less than one tenth of the weight.

Safety
Dyneema has a very low elongation (stretching). It stores little energy and therefore has little backlash-even at hundreds of tons of load.
Compared to steel cable, Dyneema requires much less tension to hang webbing because of its light-weight.

100% Twisted Knotted and Braided Nylon Netting BATTING CAGES and FIELD SCREENS We have found 100% nylon twine is the best material for field screens and batting cages. Its strength and durability combined with our UV treatment makes for many years of use. #24 twisted knotted nylon twine is also used in many of our baseball backstop applications.

Polyethylene Webbing
Polyethylene is the most economical material on the market. Though not as durable as nylon, it is light-weight and easy to hang. It is ideal for youth leagues and backyard applications.

Welding
All welding for our products is done professionally in our custom welding shop.
This allows us to design dynamic products for the sport net industry. We offer our custom screens in schedule 40 aluminum and heavy-duty steel. On-site welding for custom jobs is also available.
